SHORT+SWEET SINGAPORE 2009: Call for Entries now OPEN!

Short+Sweet Singapore is now accepting entries for its 2009 Season. This year we will stage 30 ten-minute plays in English and 10 ten-minute plays in Mandarin. You can write about anything and everything! Nothing is off limits (as far as we’re concerned anyway).

2009 is our third year in Singapore and it’s time to launch the inaugural Shorter+Sweeter Asia. We plan to take the best plays from the 07-09 seasons, professionally stage them, and then tour in 2010.

There’s never been a better time to be a part of the Festival!

WRITERS: From now until 31 March 2009, submit your ten-minute play(s) for consideration.

DIRECTORS: If you are interested in directing a play for Short+Sweet, please register at our website

ACTORS: Want to audition? There are at least 40 roles up for grabs. Please register at our website for the April auditions.

And look out for our upcoming acting and directing workshops at the end of March!

Please note participation in Short+Sweet is on a voluntary basis. As an arts development platform, Short+Sweet aims to provide a fantastic opportunity for Actors, Writers and Directors at all levels to collaborate, showcase their talents and produce high-quality theatre.
