AKG enhances control software for HiQnet networks, September 2008New AKG HUB 4000 Q Plug-In 3.2 for Harman’s unique HiQnet control software System Architect™ Release 1.8 has been available since 1 August
With its Release 3.2, AKG has improved its plug-in for Harman’s HiQnet control software and enhanced it with additional functions. From now on, users can therefore fully integrate the new AKG WMS 4500 Wireless Microphone System into their HiQnet network. All the parameters of the SR 4500 – the stationary WMS 4500 receiver – can be controlled and operated via the software interface of the System Architect.
Moreover, the SR 4500 can be incorporated as a scan device for carrying out environment scans. It now registers all AKG IVM 4 bands (including band 7 and

.
The RF monitor has been enhanced with the rehearsal graph. It now monitors both antennae over a period of five minutes and visualizes the results clearly on its interface. This makes it much easier to check the HF link of wireless microphones and so contributes to the rapid solution of any possible problems.
AKG has also improved the Auto Setup procedure: thanks to the integration of the WMS 4500 into the Harman System Architect, it is now possible to automatically set up all AKG wireless products on all frequency bands. In particular, this allows the user to quickly and easily set up mixed wireless systems consisting of wireless microphones (AKG WMS 4000/4500) and the in-ear monitoring systems (AKG IVM 4).
The AKG plug-in for Harman’s System Architect also makes it possible to monitor and install AKG wireless systems with the AKG HUB 4000 Q from a PC. The system’s intuitive user interface sets it apart from its competitors. At seven seconds for the environment scan of a 30 MHz band, it is particularly fast and yet extremely accurate. The device manager and the frequency graph provide an outstanding system overview of the frequency management. Custom control panels also offer the possibility of customizing the user interface.
The latest version of the System Architect and the HUB 4000 Q firmware are available to download at
http://hiqnet.harmanpro.com/. You can find instructions for the firmware upgrade of the HUB 4000 Q in the System Architect help file. A firmware upgrade to Version 1.22 is recommended for the SR 4000, so that you can use the full scope of the AKG Plug-In 3.2.
