If only life is like a script.

« on: April 10, 2008, 11:00:22 PM »

Well, I have been writing short stories and scripts since I was in Secondary school and polytechnic. Pretty much of it remained a hobby over the years. I did scripts for school plays when I was in poly. After I graduated, I went into army, did not do much then as I was going through a tough season in my life.

When I started working after army as a web programmer, my passion for writing came back again. About every 1-2 months, I will work on a new writing project. I managed to finish some of them, some were well...half done *the ideas were not practical on stage*.

Then only recently, I began writing professionally on a freelance basis. Though I have quite got anyone of them through yet.

My most recent project is a play based on a story of a serial killer with a twisted mentality. And 2 cops with totally different backgrounds were brought together to solve this case. And they had to find a way to get pass their differences and start solving the case. Many interesting things happen along the way as they found more clues leading them to the serial killer.

I guess the very signature of my stories and script is that I like fast paced comedy coupled with suspense and action. I have done a few raw materials for musicals that I hope one day will find a home in some production company, or my very own next time.

Writing is something I can do at anything time. It's kind of like a gift I guess. My friends say I have a gift for writing and that I should give it a try professionally, so here I am.

I do not have any professional certs with regards to writing or language. So, it's a miracle that TheatreWorks was willing to consider my materials for future plays. It's also a priviledge indeed!
